Extremely pretty and excellent quality faceted ovals in Iolite.

Approximately 55 beads on the strand, measuring around 7mm x 5.5mm though there is slight variation.

The word Iolite comes from the Greek for violet, although in bead form it is a true blue colour. The Vikings referred to it as 'water Sapphire' and the colour of the stone does change depending on the angle it is observed from. Each bead has colour variation within.
