Lovely Labradorite Plain Rectangle Beads on a 15" Strand. Lovely flashes of blue. Very versatile. Beads are between around 8x4mm and 5x4mm.

Labradorite is a feldspar mineral. It is named for the part of Canada in which it originated, although it is found elsewhere. The labradorescence, or schiller effect, is what gives this stone its dazzling array of colours and shine. Its base is dark grey but the schiller results in blue, green, yellow and red colours flashing through it as the light hits it.
